THE FIELD

MoneyFit is a cloud-based accounting firm that prides itself on client service and has a special passion for small business owners. They have a tough road, and it’s our job to assess financial health, helping owners understand what the numbers are trying to communicate. Vibe-wise, we’re growing up - 15 years in the professional making. Some days we’re all protocol, defined and clear. Other days, we’re on a new client - mapping the terrain, tech-ing them out, laying the road as we define it. Overall, we ask questions: Does the company seem healthy? Is everything flowing as it should? Is anything out of alignment? We’re positive, proactive, figure-it-out kind of people. We pay attention with great care, communicate clearly, and make sure our clients always know we’ve got their backs.

THE CHAMPION

For this role, we’re looking for a tech-savvy accounting professional who’s inspired to provide outstanding client service. You’re a natural entrepreneur, an innate visionary who sees hammer and stamp kind of chores as anathema to business prosperity. This is an alive job, with clients who need your competence, as well as your go-with-the-flow attitude and novel approach to their financial wellness. You learn their personalities, know how to develop trust, and communicate with heart. You’re potluck nice, with a splash of hot sauce. You can rock a rooftop loft party, but you’d rather roll deep in backyard fireworks. You may be a little messy sometimes, because you’re less tethered to traditional structure and more interested in the mudpie masterpiece you’ve made at the end of a creative day.

THE DRILL 

• Manage 10-15 client relationships across a number of industries

• Manage clients’ accounting workflows in a cloud-based environment, from inbound source documents through financial statement preparation and presentation

• Integrate and create efficiencies among multiple accounting software platforms and apps, such as QuickBooks Online, BILL, Dext and Gusto

• Oversee and review completion of work by bookkeepers and providing training when necessary, ensuring accuracy of financial information and efficient service delivery

THE STATS

• A minimum of an Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related discipline (MBA or CPA a plus)

• Three or more years of Client Accounting Services (CAS) experience, working directly with 10-15 clients on a regular basis in full cycle bookkeeping and accounting

• A minimum of three years experience in QuickBooks Online (QBO Certification strongly preferred)

• At least one year of experience successfully working in a remote environment using Asana (or similar), Slack, and Google Suite

• Exposure to apps in our tech stack, such as BILL, Melio, Gusto, Dext, SaasAnt, Hubspot, or similar apps, a plus

• Experience with the real estate industry a plus

• Excellent organization and time and project management skills

• Great oral and written communication skills

• High degree of ethics and integrity

• Capability to adapt and pivot to client needs with ease and curiosity in a changing, deadline-driven environment

THE PRIZE

• Salary: $60,000-70,000/year depending on experience

• SIMPLE IRA with 3% match

• One week PTO per year to start

• We haven’t had a need to offer health insurance yet, but if this is something you require we’re open to a conversation about it.
