THE ROLE
We’re seeking a Tax Manager/Supervisor to join our dynamic team. You’re the kind of tax pro who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys leading a team, and appreciates a firm that values work-life balance. You’ll take the lead on preparing and reviewing a wide variety of tax returns, manage tax projections, and provide expert, strategic tax advice. You’ll get into the nitty-gritty, mentoring a talented team on special projects that involve accounting, business management, and consulting services for our clients. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ability to prepare and review high level partnership, S Corp and individual tax return preparation
  • Deliver a full range of tax services for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, etc.
  • Ability to provide tax planning, consulting and expertise
  • A strong bookkeeping background, preferred
  • Coordinate accounting staff and assess their performance
  • Improve processes by developing or implementing best practices
  • Ability to handle notices and other issues from various tax authorities
  • Ability to handle tax research assignments along with analyzing tax code & regulations
  • Other duties as assigned
 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree (Required)
  • 5+ years of recent tax preparation experience in public accounting required
  • 2+ years of recent experience reviewing tax returns required
  • CPA or EA license, or eligibility and willingness to pursue either preferred
  • US work authorization (Required)
  • Experience with ProConnect Tax, Karbon, CCH Tax Research, CFS Tax Tools, Microsoft Office, Office Tools, and/or QuickBooks a plus

Monday to Friday, with overtime during tax season as needed
